    1.Google for Jobs

    Admittedly, this is probably the most obvious Google feature for recruiters.

    Everyone knows Google's news search. It can be interesting for HR to keep up to date with the latest recruiting trends. It also means you won't miss any news that is related to an ongoing recruiting initiative or a business customer, for example.

    The alert function is helpful for this. It informs you by email about the latest news on a specific keyword. To create an alert, simply scroll down to the bottom of the news section and click on the corresponding button:

    With Google Ads, you can place ads that appear in Google's search results and advertising networks. The advertising system allows employers to address their target group directly. Potential applicants who search for certain keywords on Google will see the ads. Appealing text can entice them to click and thus be redirected to the job advertisement or careers page.

    Although Google has an enormous reach and the ads service is ideal for performance marketing, many recruiters do not consider the search engine as an advertising channel and instead focus on classic online job portals.

    The Boolean search does not only work on Xing or LinkedIn. It can also be used in Google and can, for example, be used for Active Sourcing support: You link certain search parameters using Boolean operators and enter them into the Google search mask. The search engine then displays corresponding information about potential candidates in its search results.

    Example: You are searching for web developer job advertisements on Google and only want to find advertisements that specify exactly this job title - no synonyms. In this case, it is advisable to enter the term "web developer" in quotation marks in the search mask. The Boolean operator quotation marks allows you to search for an exact expression.
